In the power industry’s maintenance management operations, we were considering predicting whether people are at home or not based on the electricity consumption of residences and offices, and linking this to initiatives such as peak shifting and monitoring services. Therefore, we made it possible to determine whether a person is at home or not using machine learning algorithms on the electricity consumption data obtained from smart meters.
